One more

I also want to try cabling. So, here's another one. Yipee.
Good Ole Cabled Scarf

Hat pattern

Sorry for all the pattern references, I want to make sure I can find them later. I have some Uxbridge Tweed (discontinued) at home. So, I will make
Berroco Twiggy
but mine will be all maroon. I know you wanted to know that.

sleeve of eloise (noro blossom rainbow). it's so bright.

sleeve of carla. notice stitch markers

noro iro yarn for earle. what i want to be knitting with right now.

indecisive.

i have the sleeves of two sweaters going - carla from rowan cotton tape and a sweater i can't remember the name of from noro knits. carla is a slow knit for me as i keep adding stitches somehow. so, i have placed stitch markers after every third stich which is a pain and makes it take a long time as well. i like the sweater, but don't know if i'll ever finish. i've ripped it out at least a dozen times. i started the sleeve of the noro sweater which is just in reverse st stitch, so it's quick, but i'm not sure of the colors i picked. blah. maybe a sweater is not in my destiny?
i got the needle kit that everyone else has (that i can't remember the name of) but have found that a) they are slightly smaller than my other needles of the same size and b) they are flexible which i dont know that i like. i think i like bamboo best, but i refuse to spend more money on needles. i actually refuse to spend more money on yarn in general right now because i have way to much and i don't knit nearly fast enough to go through it all in a year.
i'm thinking about joining one of those knit swap things where you put in some yarn and take out some yarn. i have a lot of yarn that i don't know if i'll ever use and it might be a good way to get rid of it. i read somewhere that there is a yarnsnob one where it's only nice yarn (which is basically what i have). perhaps i will take part. i'm such a lazyass that i will probably forget though.
ummm. what else. work is very busy this week. i need to finish like a million things by wednesday and i have no idea how i'm going to get them done so it looks like i'll be working from home some. i've also pulled out the pam pilot for use from now on as i have way too many appointments to keep track of on my own. even though everyone here carries one, i feel like a dork so i will keep mine in my office and/or purse at all times.
leg-wise i'm down to one crutch most of the time which means i can actually carry things! yesterday i was doing something stupid (reaching for a cookbook) and twisted and though i messed up my other knee, but it seems okay today. just what i need. limping on both legs. or better yet, a wheelchair. at least it will keep me from falling though.
nothing else really to say. i've felted sophie and the other bag i did, so if i get around to it i'll post pictures.
also , i should think about linking to other people's blogs but i like being secret and just writing for myself right now. so ha.

more yarn!

oh, i have acquired more yarn since my last post about yarn:
rowan cotton braid (the green color) - 8
rowan cotton tape (string) - 12
the yarn to make the paris loop
noro blossom (color 2) - 8
and, i want to buy 3 skeins of noro iro, but don't think i should.

right now i'm knitting sophie from magknits with my noro kureyon. i like it so far, but found out that i still knit wrong. my stiches are twisted from going in through the back of the loop and not the front. oh well, it will be felted and no one will care. i'll do it right next time.
